Let’s Eat Better together

Less meat, less junk, more plants

If we Eat Better...

  • we feel better and healthier,
  • it helps us tackle climate change better,
  • we can protect our rainforests better,
  • our farm animals get treated better,
  • which means kids – and their kids – can continue to eat better too.

But what does it mean to ‘Eat Better’? Simply put, it’s less meat, less junk, more plants.

If we all Eat Better, we can enjoy food that’s great for our health as well as making sure that we can feed future generations on a healthy planet.

And we need better choices too in our restaurants and shops. Your pledge to Eat Better will show the Government and food industry that people want them to step up to the plate too.

Sign the pledge, and Let’s Eat Better, together.

Why Eat Better?

What we eat each day is almost unrecognisable from 50 years ago, and it’s having a surprising impact.

The meat, dairy and eggs we enjoy are responsible for more climate changing emissions than all the cars, planes, trains and ships in the world.

It takes vast areas of land to grow crops to feed animals – and reservoirs of fresh water.

Eating too much meat is also responsible for around 45,000 early deaths each year in the UK, and processed meats like bacon and sausages have been linked to certain types of cancer.

So for own health, and the environment, it’s time to try out new recipes that reduce the animal products we consume.
