My World My Home

Friends of the Earth and Citizens UK are launching a new youth campaign leadership programme.

My World My Home is Friends of the Earth’s youth campaign leadership programme, enabling 16-24 year olds to work together confidently to learn to build relationships with and lead others, while delivering real and lasting community improvements for the environment.

Building on the success of Friends of the Earth’s Campaign Organisers Programme and the insights in to Community Organising offered by Citizens UK, course participants work towards the national Qualification in Community Campaigning, developed in partnership with OCN London.

Participants are supported by a package of face to face training sessions, 1:1s, and online resources as they build connections with others to design, deliver and evaluate a social change project locally.

In 2016-17 the programme is running in 8 colleges across London, Cardiff and Nottinghamshire. From 2017 this will be extended to twelve.

The programme is part of the Our Bright Future portfolio funded by the Big Lottery Fund.
